About Us
Located in Lavaca County, Texas, the Vick Ranch is family operated and offers hunters the opportunity to hunt Trophy Whitetail deer. The 1,500 acre, high-fenced ranch has been owned and operated by the Vick family for 55 years. The deer have been fed high protein pellets and have had access to food plots since 1998. The ranch owners follow the guidance of a wildlife biologist and have followed the guidelines of a MLD program since 2005. Trophy bucks harvested will be approximately 5.5 to 6.5 years old and will score in the 140 to 180 B&C range.
Aside from whitetail deer hunting, there is also the opportunity to hunt for the abundance of wild hogs and a variety of predators that roam the ranch.
Guided hunting is done in a box blind that comfortably sits two adults. Each blind overlooks corn feeders and/or food plots. Our guides will provide their expertise in the aging and scoring of whitetail deer.
Our housing facility is a 6,800 sq. foot lodge. A large living area with a fireplace and bar, along with a separate game room, will offer entertainment after the hunt. Three downstairs bedrooms offer private bathrooms. Another bedroom shares a bathroom. Four upstairs bedrooms share two bathrooms All toiletries are available to our customers.
While the hunting is excellent, the calming atmosphere will also interest those just wanting to enjoy a weekend away in the country.
